Designing in Code: A Hands-On Approach to Innovation
Blending creativity with code, I set out to reimagine how users interact with jewelry online. With a foundation in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, I manually refined the logic and UI of the experience—layering in AI not as a replacement, but as a co-creator. The result is a hybrid approach: AI powers intelligent suggestions and personalization, while human-led design ensures the experience feels polished, performant, and emotionally resonant.

The Process
Iterations
Over four weeks, I iterated on the experience ten times—starting with a basic 2D layout before moving into 3D. Early prototypes used simple shapes like toruses and cubes to represent the bracelet and charms in an interactive environment. As the concept evolved, I introduced materials like polished metal and gloss to simulate real-world textures. In the final phase, I integrated actual 3D models provided by Pandora’s jewelry design team to bring the experience to life with precision and brand fidelity.
The Process
Using AI to Code
I leveraged Claude AI, Perplexity and ChatGPT, to streamline and personalize the bracelet-building experience. By integrating machine learning with a 3D configurator, I enabled real-time customization based on user preferences, style cues, and material selections. AI-powered logic suggested complementary charms and finishes, while the interactive 3D model provided immediate visual feedback—making the design process intuitive, engaging, and tailored to each user.
